EPDM Peroxide Cured Rubber is made from a premium EPDM rubber compound. It has been cured using a peroxide system giving it superior heat and ozone/UV resistance compared to standard EPDM rubber. This makes the rubber sheet highly weather resistant and suitable for extended outdoor use. It also displays very high temperature resistance and has excellent chemical resistance properties to both acids and alkalis.
The Peroxide Cured Premium EPDM has been cured using a peroxide system making it sulphur free and gives it superior temperature resistance and UV stability when compared to standard EPDM Premium sheet (sulphur cured). These EPDM rubber sheets are sulphur free and will not have any chemical migration to its surface during ageing. This ensures it will not bloom, assisting in bonding and ensuring good colour retention.
EPDM Peroxide Cured Rubber has excellent ozone and weathering resistance. It is used for sealing against diluted and highly concentrated acids, alkalis and chemicals.
This elastomer is suitable for prolonged exposure to aquatic environments and will not deteriorate when submerged. Excellent for marine applications or when sulphur free rubber is required.
This Premium EPDM rubber elastomer is supplied with a fine fabric finish on both sides.
