RTJ – Type RX

Industrial Gaskets stocks an extensive range of Ring Type Joint – RTJ gaskets. Style RX is a pressure-energized adaptation of the standard Style R gasket.

The RTJ RX is designed to fit the same groove as a standard Style R gasket, allowing for interchangeability as system pressure requirements increase. 

This type of Ring Type Joint (RTJ) gasket that is pressure-energized, meaning internal system pressure increases its sealing force, making it suitable for higher pressure and more demanding applications in the oil and gas industry. It is an adaptation of the standard Type R gasket, fitting the same groove design but featuring an increased height and an outside sealing surface for improved sealability against vibrations and pressure surges.

Style RX gaskets are manufactured in accordance with both API 6A and ASME B16.20 size/ratings, all certified to API 6A through EN10204 Type 3.2.

They are available in a range of materials including 316 Stainless Steel, Carbon Steel, Low Mild Steel, PTFE, PTFE Insert, PTFE Coated and Super Duplex. Sizes available are from RX20 through to RX215
