Industrial Gaskets stocks one of the largest range of Ring Type Joints in Australia, including RTJ (Ring Type Joint) gaskets including the RTJ – Type BX.
The Ring Type Joint RTJ – Type BX series is designed primarily for special applications involving high pressures up to 20,000 psi. The rings are manufactured according to standards ASME B16.20, API Std 6a.
When correctly fitted, the style BX gasket allows virtual surface-to-surface contact of the flange faces, which means that the gasket is fully trapped on both the inner and outer diameters. All BX gaskets incorporate a pressure balance hole to ensure equalization of pressure that may be trapped in the grooves. They are not recommended for re-use.
Style BX gaskets are manufactured in accordance with both API 6A and ASME B16.20 size/ratings, all certified to API 6A through EN10204 Type 3.2.
