Industrial Gaskets stocks a range of RTJ PTFE Coated gaskets. Most standard sizes of Ring Type Joints (RTJ’s) can be supplied with PTFE Coating.
A PTFE Coating is used to eliminate gasket or flange erosion and is predominately used in aggressive media applications. The coating is applied for specific benefits such as flange erosion prevention, corrosion protection, or to serve as a temporary seal for pressure testing. Common coatings include PTFE for aggressive media.
PTFE Coating is typically used on R – Octagonal or R – Oval style Ring Joint Gaskets. They are available in a range of materials including 316 Stainless Steel, Soft Iron, Carbon Steel, Low Mild Steel, F5 and Super Duplex.
The PTFE coating can be in various colours eg blue or green for ease of identification on site for installation.
