Fibreglass Tadpole Tape is manufactured from formed fiberglass fabric and formed over either a dense-knitted fiberglass rope core or an Inconel mesh core, these tadpole tapes are a good gasket material for sealing of flanges or where low bolt force is applied.
The core portion in the bulb is a twisted fibreglass rope. A side profile of the woven fibreglass cloth tape represents the shape of a Tadpole, hence the name.
Service temperature is generally up to 540°C.
