Virgin PTFE, also known as Teflon, is a pure, unfilled form of Polytetrafluoroethylene with a white, waxy appearance. It is a high-performance plastic prized for its exceptional properties, including a near-universal chemical resistance, an extremely low coefficient of friction, strong electrical insulation, and a wide temperature range of use.

Its is suited to more aggressive applications in the chemical or cryogenic industry or the food manufacturing where hygiene is a necessary requirement.

Virgin PTFE also provides the combined advantage of exceptional thermal, electrical and chemical properties that supersede its mechanical features.

• Limited use in structural components because of low modulus of elasticity
• Poor mechanical strength
• Very high specific gravity
• Insoluble in all known solvents below 260ºC

Available: 1.0m, 1.2m or 1.5m wide sheets or rolls up to 20m

Thicknesses: 0.15mm to 25mm
