Plastic Shim

Plastic shim is available in a wide range of thicknesses (thicknesses are colour coded for easy identification).

Can be used for

• Acting as spacers, gaskets, or wear strips in gear cases, crank cases, and oil pans. 
• Providing electrical insulation barriers. 
• Used as slide strips. 

Available in Thicknesses from 0.001 inch to 0.080 inch Shim Assortment Packs available they consist of 0.001 inch – 0.030 inch Plastic Shims have a much higher strength-to-weight ratio compared with metallic alternatives and prevent corrosion.

This material is tough with very high compression and dielectric strength. It has good resistance to most Chemicals and has good Ozone capabilities. Temperature Range is -70°C to +130°C
